There are times when you’re completely exhausted, feeling crappy and talking yourself out of shooting a show, but at the same time something in the back of your head is saying you’ll be kicking yourself if you don’t go. Had I stayed home instead of going to the Maximo Park show on Saturday night, I’m sure that would’ve been the case. Paul Smith has to be one of the most dynamic musicians I’ve shot in some time (minus anything I shot at Bonnaroo) and was totally worth dragging my exhausted body out of the house for. It’s usually pretty hard to capture a musician jumping really well, but he made it seem completely effortless.
my favourite part of this pic is that the other guitarist is perfectly framed by the mic cord - awesome!
