Yard Dogs Road Show @ Bonnaroo, June 15 2007

After shooting bands for two days and nights at Bonnaroo (and with a few more nights to go), I decided to slip into one of the smaller tents to relax for a bit by kicking back on the grass and catching the Yard Dogs Road Show at 2 a.m. (sleep? what’s that??). It was a photographer’s dream…the lighting was fantastic, the visuals were amazing and the show was incredibly entertaining. These are actually some of my favourite shots of the entire festival. If the Yard Dogs are ever coming through your area, don’t hesitate to check them out.
I was particularly fascinated with the belly dancer above…she totally owned that stage when she was doing her thing and her confidence was very apparent. She’s also part of the burlesque portion of the show, which unlike much of the burlesque garbage these days was actually quite classy.
